Italian Hanukkah

We had lots of visitors at the birding house.

And there's another one inside.

I don't actually know who lives there. It's like a frat house.

It's been fairly quiet at the library this week. Everyone is out shopping and hustling and bustling and not coming in to the library. We have lots of time to do some of the those projects we can't do when it's busy.

One of my co-workers is Jewish and she just finished celebrating Hanukkah today. She made matzo ball soup for all of us for lunch. Another co-worker made some sort of Italian kugel to go with the soup. It didn't start out as an Italian recipe but the story she told involved lots of missing ingredients and having to substitute items for things that were primarily Italian ingredients. It was a very confusing lunch. 

But quite delicious.
