Geese on Ice

I found these lovelies yesterday. I was on my way home from an appointment and drove by a reservoir where they happened to be walking around on the ice.

The reservoir wasn't completely frozen so they had a little room to swim and paddle around.

They kept a good eye on me.

I had my big lens on so I wasn't as close as these photos imply. But they still knew I was there and kept wandering away from me.

They couldn't move as fast on the ice. Once they got in the water, all bets were off.

I packed up and headed home.

I went home and walked straight to the couch to fall asleep. My head felt like it was splitting in two. Yucky old sinus infection.  

I'm very thankful for antibiotics and modern medicine.
