Northern Travels, part one

The Man and I went to a wedding last fall to celebrate with some very dear friends. Their son was getting married and we were ready to hit the road.

Nova Scotia has long been on our list of places to visit so we decided to continue north and see a good piece of it.

But first we got to go to a wedding. The sunset is the view from our hotel room in Bar Harbor.
The wedding was so much fun. We danced most of the night - even the Man danced. The music was from the 70s and 80s with a few contemporary songs thrown in. The whole place was up on their feet. The disc jockey definitely knew his stuff.

But the most fun? The fiber optic wands they passed out. We all had a blast using them while dancing. And at the table just sitting. And walking back to our hotel rooms. What a bunch of kids we were, waving them around in the parking lots.

The foggy morning pictured above was the day we left Maine for Prince Edward Island. It was thick and damp, much like the fog from the movie "The Mist". Then I remembered that Stephen King is from Maine and that explained most of that movie. I was getting a little spooked by the fog, it was so very thick. I kept looking for prehistoric sized insects to come careening out of it. I was unbelievably relieved when the fog lifted and the sun came out.
