New Lens

I got a new lens for my camera. I've been looking at the Tamron 150-600mm lens for a couple years and finally took the plunge. A friend of mine has this lens and she takes some pretty spectacular shots of the moon - you can count the craters. The zoom is amazing on this lens. 

So, of course, I played with it right away. Not much too shoot in the backyard - no birds, no squirrels, nothing to focus on. We're not expecting a full moon for a couple weeks. There was nothing to shoot. Except the basketball net.

I like the red backdrop against the grey net.

The Man and I have a vacation coming up and we're hoping to see the wild horses on Assateague Island. I'm planning on taking the lens with me and keeping my fingers crossed that I get some good shots.
