Our Nest Mates

This little guy has lived in our birdhouse for a few years now. He's very familiar with us and doesn't fly away as soon as we open the back door. He and his family live in the birdhouse the Man made quite a while ago. They stay with us all year long and have had a couple families in that house. A few summers ago one of their babies fell out of the nest and was teetering on the edge of the shelf. The Man used a dust pan to rescue the baby and put it back in the nest. 

This guy chats all day long and I miss him when he goes off for a little bit. He doesn't like it when Momma bird goes off and he calls for her until she comes home. Sometimes it's hours before she comes back and he gets more irate the longer she's gone. 

We're all happy when she returns.
