Moon, Moon, Moon
The last few days have been windy and gusty and blow-y. All the leaves are gone and it definitely looks like winter is a-coming.
A local ice cream place is closing this weekend so the Man and I went out there tonight to get one last ice cream before winter sets in. We thought we'd be the only ones there.
Ha.
We had to get in line.
It looks like everyone else had the same idea we did.
We got our ice cream and hurried back to the car. It was cold out. I took about three bites of ice cream and told the Man he better turn the car on. We needed heat and we needed it NOW. We sat and savored every bite. It will be a little while until we taste that fresh made ice cream again. We watched the people coming in for a last taste of summer. One little girl got a sundae, piled high with whipped cream, and stuck her face in it, mouth wide open, to get a big bite of the white fluffy stuff. We laughed. She looked so happy with that cream on her face. We finished our sundaes, said goodbye to the ice cream stand, and drove down the driveway, heading home.
There were two hot cups of coffee waiting for us and we settled in to watch a movie on Netflix.
A perfectly cozy night.

Moon, moon, moon, shining bright
Moon, moon, moon, my nightlight
Moon, moon, moon, I can see
Moon, moon, moon, you're taking care of me.
from "Moon, Moon, Moon" by Laurie Berkner
The little man and I were dancing to this today. Fun song.
