Beach Trip

It was such a gorgeous day we decided to take a ride to the shoreline. There were cars on the road but not anywhere near what there would normally be on a beautiful Sunday in May.

We stopped at a local seafood shack for a quick lunch - grilled cheese for Little Man, chicken salad for his mama, and the Man and I got a bowl of clam chowder.

We ordered at the window, they brought it to the car, and we ate out of the back of the vehicle, safely distanced from those around us. Everyone wore masks and seemed very respectful and conscientious about keeping their distances.

I was so happy to see people out and about in a safe manner.

I was so happy to see people.
Little Man was enamored with the beach - the crashing waves, the boats zipping by, and the seagulls lazily drifting in the wind.
This was Little Man's view.
We could have stacked rocks all day long. It was so much fun watching him decide which rocks would be kept and put in the pile and which ones were tossed overboard. No rhyme or reason as far as we could see, but he had a definite plan in mind.

Thinking. This kid is always thinking.
__________

A fantastic day. Amen.
