Sleep in Peace

This is the biggest thrill of our week. Setting up the pack and play for little man.

K and B dropped him off tonight while they went out to dinner. We got to feed him sweet potato - one of his favorites. The Man was holding the spoon up and little man's mouth was opening wide, wide, wide. He kept making "hmmmm" sounds and smiling.

He loves to eat.

Except for finger foods. His mama left us with some puff things for him to eat. He turned his nose up at them. And then turned his head away every time I tried to put one in his mouth. That little mouth was closed tight, tight, tight. He was not interested in those puff things at all. Head went this way, head went that way. And then the tears.

Go away, Grandma.
___________

No puff things for you, little man. Let's have this bottle instead, shall we? says Grandma. And just like that, tears stop and little man is happy again. No tears allowed on Grandma's watch.

Within moments of finishing the bottle he fell asleep in Grampa's arms. We shared him back and forth, both the Man and I enjoying our time snuggling him. There is nothing like holding a sleeping grandchild safe and warm in your arms, watching him sleep peacefully.

We didn't even use the pack and play.
