Birthday Redux

Today was birthday shopping spree day with my nieces.

They have finally reached the age where I'm out of ideas. After wandering the toy aisles, clothing aisles, sports aisles, and billions of other aisles searching for birthday gifts, I decided to take them on a shopping trip and let them pick out what they want.

I picked up E and spent the morning shopping with her. Her favorite gift? A skateboard.

(I told Sissy there were no rules with Auntie. So there.)

Sissy and D met us for lunch and then D and I shopped all afternoon. Her favorite gift? Kermit the Frog, from the Build-A-Bear Workshop.

When D and I met up with Sissy and E at the end of the day, E was playfully distraught, I want Hermit! I want Hermit!

His name is Kermit, we told her. You don't even know what his name is. How can you want him?!

She's a nut.

I love MR's eyes in the photo above, watching D as she laughs and jokes about something.

So expressive.
I made them personalized "Birthday Punch Cards" with lots of circles and different dollar amounts listed in them. As the girls spent money, they crossed off that dollar amount. They always knew how much money they had left to spend and they loved crossing off the dollar amounts.

I think they liked that the best.
I love this photo of E and the Man, snuggled up sitting on the bench overlooking the beach.

She looks very content and comfortable.
Another sweet photo.

And you want to know something funny? She's not the snuggly one.
