Alaska, The Great White North. Last Random Pics.

I didn't realize how tall bears are when they stand on two feet.

I think I can handle the teddy bear.
Pots full of steaming crabs.

Yum.

We stopped and had lunch here and got to sample several crab dishes, including a crab leg.
__________

Crab legs are terribly expensive. We were going to order some in Homer one night when we were  there. We walked into the restaurant and saw a couple eating two or three of them on their table. When our waitress came over, we asked her about them. She told us they were $49 per pound. We asked how many you get in a pound.

"One," she said.

What?!

We decided to wait and try to get them somewhere else. We got our chance in Fairbanks at the crab shack near the port.
Happy little faces on the side of a building.
We walked through the state capitol and found this little gem from history hanging on the walls.
A little bit of an incline.
This reminded me so much of San Francisco. The walkway is actually the street!

So that's it. Alaska. Hope you enjoyed all the photos I've been posting. It was a great trip with some great friends and we're looking forward to our next adventure!
