Pre-Halloween Bon Voyage Family Lollapalooza

Got together at K's last night with Sissy and her girls and my dad. Pops is flying the coop and heading somewhere warm for the winter next week so we all wanted to gather one last time before he leaves.

It was a chilly night and we had hot pizza and apple crumb pie and pumpkin cake and salad and beer and wine and smashed up bananas. Well, little man O had the smashed up bananas

which he loved, loved, loved

and we had the rest of the food.
D swooping in for a smooch.

Little man O was zonked out.
Cousins. Blurry. Chilling.
I love watching them all together.

E and K look so much alike.
Sissy and E with the little one. He was so tired. He just couldn't stay awake.

Sissy is a baby charmer. She can get him to sleep in an instant.
I brought goodie bags. Every party needs a goodie bag, don't you think?
__________

These are not very good pictures from a technical standpoint. There's too much noise in the pictures - too grainy for my liking. There's too many red tones and no amount of editing was helping. But the lighting in K's house is challenging. They have a lot of LED lights that emit blue light and they don't like it so they don't keep them on. They plan on replacing them with cozy, warm lights.

So there were only a few lights on in the living room and dining room with the warm light. I had to bump up the ISO to even have a chance of getting any pictures.

This is a perfect situation illustrating that sometimes you have to compromise on quality to get a shot you want. Are these "good" pictures? Nope. But I love them anyway because of the subjects.
