The Grass is Greener - NOT!

I'm trying to grow baskets of grass to use as centerpieces for Easter weekend. I've done it before but couldn't remember how far ahead to plant the grass.

Sissy and I planted some about a week ago and this is what I have so far. Doesn't look like much, does it?

I'm hoping it will grow LOTS in the next three or four days but something tells me I better have plan B for centerpieces.

There are a couple overachievers in the basket. Can you see them? They tower over the rest of the grass. Poor little bits. Those tall giants are making them look bad.
